CMLA
Czech Mountain Leader Association (CMLA, Český spolek horských průvodců in Czech – ČSHP) is an apolitical civic association. CMLA associates mountain leaders, who practice mountain leading activity as a trade or in a dependent relationship (employment, etc.), but also as a nonprofitable activity – planning and leading of excursions as a hobby.
Foreign Activities:
CMLA, as an Aspirant Member, represents Czech mountain leaders in Union of Associations of International Mountain Leaders (UIMLA). CMLA cooperates with Member Countries National Associations (MCNA) on the establishment of single standard for education, conduct and practise of mountain leaders.
Home Activities:
CMLA associates qualified mountain leaders and people whose interest is to lead individuals and groups in mountains. We support our members in continuous professional development and we create conditions for the implementation of worldwide standard for the practise of mountain leading. Our goal is to start the IML education in the Czech Republic. We provide services to all our members via the preparation of education courses, up-to-date information on the field, partnership with producers and suppliers of outdoor equipment, legal aid and collective activities not only in mountains.
